Pigments & Pigments Dispersion

Pigments
Sunjin Beauty Science provides pigments used in color cosmetics (make-up) in the form of powders that are surface-treated with lipophilic coatings to ensure excellent dispersion in oil phases. In addition, we also offer these pigments as aqueous dispersions, enabling easy application in water-based formulations.
Pigments
We offer a wide range of pigment products coated with various surface-treatment materials.
In particular, pigments coated with naturally derived materials provide excellent dispersibility and formulation stability, delivering clearer and more vivid color expression while maintaining outstanding stability without color separation over time.
Pigments
Pigments are cosmetic ingredients responsible for color expression in make-up products. Since most color cosmetics are oil-continuous systems (Water-in-Oil), pigments are surface-treated to improve their dispersibility in oil phases. Traditionally, the most widely used lipophilic surface treatments in the cosmetics industry have been silicone-based agents such as alkyl silanes, methicone, and dimethicone. These silicone-based treatments were widely adopted from the 1980s onward, as they significantly improved issues associated with fatty-acid-based treatments, such as hydrolysis, oxidation, performance degradation, and unpleasant odors.

Recently, the cosmetics industry has seen a strong shift toward the “Clean Beauty” trend. Clean Beauty emphasizes the exclusion of ingredients considered harmful to humans or the environment. As a result, materials such as parabens, PEGs, phthalates, phenoxyethanol, and silicones—often perceived negatively by consumers—are increasingly being avoided.
Talc Alternatives
Sunjin Beauty Science has developed talc alternative solutions based on naturally derived materials, addressing recent market concerns and regulatory issues associated with talc.
